Implementation of Piinuts in a hospital

Day to day, staff at the Bienne Hospital Centre write, review and exchange texts that contain personal data: names, dates, contact details, medical information. As soon as a digital tool is involved, especially an AI tool, there is a real risk of sharing identifying data by mistake. The hospital wanted to give its teams a simple, reliable way to remove those elements before any use, while protecting patient confidentiality.

We implemented Piinuts as an anonymisation tool for staff at the Bienne Hospital Centre:

• A tool within reach: each person can anonymise their own content, at the moment they need it.
• Automatic detection: personal data is found and masked, without having to search for it by hand.
• A simple start: the tool fits existing working habits, with support for the people using it.
